Internet opening hours

internet opening hours

It’s about time they have introduced internet opening hours. I might introduce them on my blog soon. It just makes an awful lot more sense. Should I just take lunch off or should I close shop all afternoon?

  1. I’ve had that problem before and strangely enough it’s been with a bank, alhough not that one. You’d think they’d have enough money and resources to ensure a 24 hour service. They’re heading for a crisis at this rate. Oh, hang on…!

  2. I agree – and there should be ‘no post’ days, where no one can post anything to give us all a chance to empty our RSS readers a little!

  3. You can always post on your website, “I’m sorry I will be unavailable from 12.00 to 15.00, on Thursday, as I will be in a meeting with clients all afternoon.”

Now, whether the meeting with clients is shopping, a mani-pedi or a nap is entirely up to you. After all, it’s YOUR meeting. 😉

  4. Thats quite similar working hours to my work computer, meaning I have to do practical things at other hours.
Its all part of a massive conspiracy.

Typical. Its a wonder they don’t have a call waiting sign on the website too, telling you that you are in a queue and that you are a valuable customer. Pah.

  6. I remember walking into a HSBC in Sydney and asking them to do be an account statement. They couldn’t, despite being “my” bank and being the worlds local bank. Bah humbug!

  7. I know! I’ve seen this many times before and it always perplexes me…the internet closing hours…hmm. x LZ

  8. How odd! I have never seen this. We should defo have blog opening hours would make it much more fun 🙂

  9. Totally agree. Its really annoying. When I want to transfer some cash between countries its usually at the weekend and this pops up so often.

  10. That has to be a poorly timed April Fool. Quite like the idea of a ‘Closed for lunch’ hour though – I might actually do some hoovering them….

  11. Ah hahahahaha! It’s so ridiculous I had to decide if it was more annoying or funny 🙂

  12. Ridiculous.

And I’ve never understood why it takes a few days for payments to clear in this day and age. I mean, they’re not entering them in ledgers in beautiful copperplate writing are they? It’s just someone hitting a computer key – if that.

  13. But preferably not me, since I failed to click the smallest number in your Captcha. I realise now that 0 is smaller than 1. Duh…
