Time for another cookery post. As there’s not much cooking going on these days (yes, I am still in the Caribbean, and yes, this vacation seems to go on and on and on), I am going to spoil my lovely readers with Leroy’s Banana and Mango Margarita. Try this at home:
Long before the French and the English fought over Saint Lucia (‘ownership’ of the island changed 14 times in between them), this beautiful place was called “Where the Iguana lives”. And if the lizards don’t stop drowning themselves in our pool, they might need to rename it to “Where the Iguana dies”.

Argh. Argh. Aaargggghhhhh. Can you hear that? With every move I make my rusty bones make a cracking noise, stiffened by snow and the cold, wintery humidity. Even worse: my energy and lust for life seems to have been buried underneath the snow. And now the snow is gone, it’s nowhere to be found.
