Shortest blog post ever

Just a quick one to let you know I am still alive. Yay. The babysitter is long gone to Germany (sniff), and although both girls are absolutely darling at the moment, I am sincerely looking forward to September. Lets just hope my brain hasn’t turned into mush until then. Another round of ‘head, shoulders, knees and toes’ and I can’t guarantee for anything.

Any survival tactics for the summer holidays?

  1. Not many novel suggestions from me. But the best thing I find is arranging as many play dates as possible to let the little ones entertain one another. And I can talk to an adult – phew!

I just wanted to say that I just love your dress sense in all the pictures that you have posted. I actually bought the Chloe marcie crossbody bag after thinking about it and then finally seeing you wear it in a few photos back. I really think you should do a daily photo post of what you are wearing and have a mummy style section. You are one stylish mamma!!

Sorry your babysitter had to go back to Germany. We have used girls from there since my husband is German. This summer we had a local college girl. She went back to school 2 weeks ago. Boo hoo! I am thrilled my children go back on Thursday. I am losing my mind. The laundry looks like a small mountain despite that it is washed. I just can’t find the time or energy to fold it. Hang in there.

  4. Yes I would agree with playdates. But there is hope – as your children get older, you’ll find they play with each other much more. My kids are currently playing some fantasy Lego/stuffed animal game together, and are quite happy to be left alone.

  5. PS I also can write short blog posts. See my most recent. Though not as short as yours.
